This weekend you get to be part of something completely mind-blowing and completely FREE! After two super successful events, may we present to you the third — Art Battle Spectacular on January 16, 2016!
In the only live art event of its kind, eight local visual artists will be challenged to show off their skills as best as possible in 45 minute timed rounds. The most successful artists will win your (the audience’s) love to proceed through the competition, with the winner crowned ‘best in show’.
“My favourite part about the art battle is watching it inspire others through live exposure to visual arts. The last battle I heard a story about a seven year old who was so transfixed next to the stage his mother couldn’t get him to leave. He turned to her and said, “Mum, when I grow up I wanna be an artist!” That was probably the most rewarding thing about making events like these happen — instilling in the next generation that it IS possible to make a life from your creativity. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside”, says Creative Director Kat Coppock.
Featuring pop-up bars, DJs, food trucks, arts and craft stalls, this is a summer event you definitely don’t want to miss!
