Who doesn’t love a bit of retail therapy? When most people think of the Barossa they just think of the delicious food, incredible wine, and flourishing arts culture — but did you know the Barossa has so much to offer when it comes to shopping! I think it’s the diverse shopping experience that really makes this place special. Whether you’re talking fashion, arts and crafts or homewares, the Barossa really does have it all.

Tanunda is my favourite shopping haunts! So much so that I have dubbed Tanunda, the shopping mecca of the Barossa! No we’re not talking high rise buildings, but instead quaint little stores scattered in between the bustling cafes of Tanunda’s main street.

So with Christmas around the corner, grab your bag and head to Tanunda where you can shop til you drop! Here’s a peek at a few of my favs!

Progeny Design and Fashion House

You know you probably spend a little too much time in a shop when you become good friends with the owner! But in all honesty, this little store has so much to offer. It’s my go to shop to curb that insatiable desire that every woman has to buy something new (don’t lie ladies, shopping is part of our DNA); or just if I need a new outfit for an upcoming event! Owner, Bec is only too happy to lend a hand and help style that perfect outfit for you!

Progeny is home to a diverse range of clothing labels, and features options from basic every day wear right through to more dressy styles, as well a fantastic range of accessories including statement necklaces, handmade earrings and Barossa’s infamous ‘Recreate’ clutches which are made from recycled clothing.

Progeny is a must next time you are in Tanunda. And stalking their Facebook page is essential, particularly if you want first dibs on any new stock! The reputation of this little store is growing and so too is the hunger of its clientele!
