 DECOR

It’s always a beehive of activity in the trendy suburb of North Adelaide. There’s a choice of 1950s-style leather booth seating, wooden tables and chairs, or alfresco dining. Whatever suits your fancy. Often on a busy Sunday morning, there will be a lineup from the counter to Melbourne Street. It’s that popular!

FOOD

Beetroot, beetroot, beetroot! Their beetroot ricotta on rye with wilted spinach, poached eggs and dukkah is amazing! All the usual breakfast suspects on the menu and you can also create your own perfect plate from a choice of fresh vegetables, eggs, bread and toppings. They must be big advocates for vitamin C, as they only have 1 option for fresh juice; orange. It’s simple, yet so refreshing. They also do a good ‘cup-of-cino’.

KID-FRIENDLY?

They have a kids’ menu, which is always helpful. The large alfresco area provides enough room for prams and little feet in high chairs. The only downside is, (if you’re like me and panic with kids near cars) the outdoor area is right on the road. You also have to order at the counter, which can be difficult when you have wee ones at your feet.
