DECOR

Did someone ask, “Where’s Adelaide’s coolest cafe?” Tincat Cafe has a BIG element of ‘cool’ about it. It’s retro, mismatching 1950s-style furniture and local artwork, can make even the ‘un-coolest’ of people feel completely on-trend! It was built in 1858, as a 4-roomed house. It’s now used as a restaurant, wedding and party venue. The service is great and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

FOOD

Open for lunch, brunch and dinner, Tincat Cafe has all the usual delicious staples, which you can mix and match with extras. Even the most basic of menu options, like plain toast and jam, are still bursting with flavour! The softshell crab and eggs (the way you like them) is mouth-watering. As are their waffles and home-made granola.

KID-FRIENDLY?

There are 4 different rooms to choose from, so I’ve always found it very easy to find a table big enough to fit a pram or high chair. Just ring ahead and let them know that you’re planning on bringing several cheeky monkeys and they will happily accommodate.

+ VIBE :: Cool, funky, casual, anything goes

+ COFFEE :: 5 stars (or 6 if that’s possible)

+ FOOD :: 5 stars
