 Australia Day at the Bay

Kick things off with a BBQ brekky on the beach at Glenelg. (Just $8 for bacon, sauages, eggs, tomato & orange juice!) Then jump into the fun with beach volleyball, balloon twister, and more.

 Slip and Slide at Civic Park

Grab your friends and family and in the beautiful surrounds of Civic Park! The event will feature a giant dual lane slip-and-slide, jumping castles, prizes, food and much more!

Catch the Cricket

It’s Australia’s versus India in a T20 International match at the Adelaide Oval. Gates open at 1.45pm. Tickets are from $21.40 for adults, while kids aged four to 15 are FREE. (Pssssst… Bookings essential)

 Head to the Hills

There’s heaps going on in the Adelaide Hills, from community BBQ’s and picnics to family entertainment and live music. Pack a picnic or stretch the legs and head on a hike? Morialta, Black Hill and Waterfall Gully are all just a short drive from the city. Just remember to stay hydrated and be sun smart!

 Cook up a Storm

 Celebrate at Survival Day

Join in and celebrate the resiliance of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people at this FREE cultural event at the Semaphore Foreshore (It’s open from 11am and 6.30pm). There’ll be a spectacular live concert hosted by Natasha Wanganeen, Traditional Dance performances, children’s activities, clothing, arts and crafts stalls and more.  Semaphore Summer Carnival

Crowds of happy people, amazing food, vintage cars, and plenty of seaside fun. The summer carnival will be in full swing this Australia Day with dodgem cars, bungy’s, water balls and rides galore. Stick around for your first round of Australia Day fireworks on the foreshore at 9.30pm.

 Splash’n’Bounce at Ridley Reserve

Grab your bathers and get ready to splash at this fully inflatable water park. There’s heaps of inflatable waterslides, pools and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Explore Our City

Sometimes the best adventures can be found in your own city, you just have to get out there and look! So why not head out on a self-guided tour, find Adelaide’s hidden doors, ogle at street art, or find a cool new place to eat or drink?

 Moonlight Cinema  

Red Dog True Blue will be hitting the big screen this Australia Day, so head down to Botanik Park and don’t forget your picnic blanket!

 Australia Day Parade (Oh and only Adelaide’s Biggest Fireworks Display)

Head to Elder Park from 6.00pm and celebrate with 40,000 other awesome Adelaidians. There’ll be a huge parade featuring vintage cars, horses, marching bands, and a giant echidna, and an epic fly past from an F18 Hornet. Plus, there’ll be live music from 7.00pm and of course, the big Australia Day fireworks finale!
