It’s an explosion of colour and a shopping experience that will delight — say hello to Burnside Village’s new hotspot — Allkinds!
This vibrant store offers up bath, body and skincare for kids and teens in a fun, inclusive and very thoughtful way and it literally left our jaws dropping. We met with General Manager Paula Gorman and we immediately got as pumped as a kid in a candy store about this new brand.

All kinds of what?
When you go shopping, products for babies jump off the shelves and adults are covered in spades. But what about the in-betweeners? Allkinds is here to take care of kids and tweens with nature-powered formulas which work and are carefully designed to cover kids’ unique needs.
“Allkinds is here to make sure kids and teens feel their best every day,” Paula explains. “Our products let them try what looks fun, find their favourites, create routines that make them feel good, and stick to the stuff that makes them feel awesome! We’re all about getting kids to embrace their differences and to look at themselves with love — never looking at themselves for flaws or things that need to be fixed.”

Think wobbly jelly washes, whipped shower foams, body creams, bath bombs and loads of ridiculously fun accessories. Sponges that look like waffles and body washes that look like maple syrup to pour over them? My kids will go nuts!!

It’s perfect for tweens needing their first products as their skin changes with puberty and it’s all straightforward so nothing’s overwhelming, expensive or complicated. “They just need the right cleanser and moisturiser as a base and then we have other easy-to-use products they can try too! Plus, we have videos of kids using them on our website so they can watch exactly how to use the products at home.”

Made right here in Australia, their products contain no gross stuff — so no SLS, SLES, added sulphates, parabens, mineral oils, or talc. They’re not tested on animals (hooray!!) and their products are vegan, dermatologically tested and always 100% naturally fragranced, which is so important, especially for young, delicate skin.

One of my favourite bits about Allkinds — there’s no boys or girls sections — it’s all unisex! If your small fries are into sparkles, sport, pink, purple, blue, coconutty vibes or space, they can just gravitate towards whatever excites them. Their range of daily essentials will ensure that everyone stays clean and smells delicious but kids can choose from six different ‘worlds’ which all have their own unique colour palette, active ingredients and 100% natural signature fragrance.
“It’s so powerful to give your kids the power to choose — it helps build their confidence and makes them independent — but at the end of the day, you know the products will keep them clean and do what you need them to!” Paula says.

All kinds of caring
Allkinds is not only caring for your little ones, they’re caring for the earth. Everything from products to packaging has been consciously made with sustainability in mind. A lot of packaging can be reused or recycled in curb-side recycling and even some can be placed in water so the kids can watch it completely dissolve, which is my kids’ idea of fun in itself. “It’s all about starting the conversation around recycling and getting them thinking about it so it becomes second nature as they grow up,” Paula says.

Visit number one and I left with arms full of fun and practical things for my kids to try — I can’t wait to take them in and watch them explore this wonderland that’s all kinds of awesome!
