Festival Plaza? Now THAT sounds like a place we’re going to want to hang at.
Adelaide’s Festival Plaza is set to become a world-class destination and the beating heart of the Adelaide Riverbank Entertainment Precinct. And good news — the wait is over, with Festival Plaza officially OPEN!
To kick off what we imagine will be maaaaany festivities to come, Adelaide Festival Centre and Families at Adelaide Festival Centre are putting on a jam-packed long weekend.
Head along to Festival Plaza to play from 10am to 3pm on Saturday 12 March through to Monday 14 March! Families and friends can enjoy heaps of free activities, Bowerbird Markets, SA’s very own young movers and shakers from Kidtrepreneur Markets, workshops, roving entertainment, DJs, and food and drinks. Phew, what a line up!
As fate would have it, this long weekend also celebrates the opening of the exciting new Children’s Artspace too! Children’s Artspace is painting the town pink… and yellow, and blue, and all the colours of the rainbow! The very first exhibition, Kaleidoscope: Playing with Colour, will be open to explore, and afterwards, why not hang around for more fun with their interactive workshops? You can even make your own kaleidoscope and actually be a part of the exhibition by making a sticky stained-glass window. Ah-mazing!
