Decor
I kept hearing about this place. Entropy floods my Instagram feed every weekend with delicious looking food. So finally, I popped my Entropy cherry and LOVED IT. I walked in and said, “This is where I want to have my wedding”. Convenient because they also do private functions. It’s tucked away in a little street behind the Entertainment centre. It’s an old railway shed, filled with character and it’s only 5 minutes from the CBD. It’s got high ceilings, lots of space, a huge deck out the front, eclectic furniture and instantly feels warm and inviting on entry.
Food
The menu had several Spanish inspired dishes and the lovely owner told me that their food is all made with fresh SA produce. (Tick, tick!) For me it was between these three favourites:
1. Sudamericana – House made baked beans, potato rosti, fried egg, smashed sweet potato, morcilla sausage and charred ciabatta.
2. The Breakfast Buritto – Topped with La Vera chedder cheese, poached eggs, caramalized onions, roasted capsicum, sweet potato, cumin and paprika spice rub. My mouth is watering just writing this!
The French toast – With Mandarine compote and vanilla cinnamon yoghurt. Simple but delicious. I ended up getting everything! Thank God my boyfriend was there to help me eat it all. Oh and their hot chocolates are to die for too!
Kid Friendly?
The space is large and there’s an entry ramp which is great for prams. For a large space it’s surprisingly not noisy so you don’t have to worry about your kids screaming down the house and getting glares from the other eaters. Definitely a kid friendly spot to hang out with friends and loved ones.
