Toys2Learn is more than just another store and website selling toys. Like the much-loved Pixar movie, there’s a beautiful story behind this tale.

Once upon a time, local Adelaide couple Jodie and Chris had a gorgeous son Steven who had some learning difficulties. The new parents had great trouble finding good-quality, educational toys that would engage him. Unable to find anything suitable, they decided to take it into their own hands and create a toy shop full of engaging educational toys. And so, Toys2Learn was born.

The giant pirate out the front of her shop is a familiar face in the eastern suburbs. Originally based in Marryatville, Toys2Learn has moved a stone’s throw away, to Glenunga.

Inside this toy wonderland, you’ll find aisles and aisles of classic books, a multitude of games for babies through to adults, high-quality dolls, puppets and figurines, science experiments, puzzles, instruments, arts and crafts, literacy and numeracy teaching aids, role-play toys and so much more.

With old-fashioned service that we all love, if you don’t find what you’re looking for, just ask. They’re always happy to go above and beyond, and will even source items for you from all around the world.

Their point of difference is that everything they offer encourages learning through play and is high quality. You will find lots of products that provide a range of learning experiences, as each person has their own style of learning.

“We are all about stimulating toys that cater to all ages and abilities, from special needs to gifted,” Jodie says.

“We’re all about touch and feel, and for kids who might have sensory difficulties, these kinds of toys are really important for learning and growing.”

Toys2Learn even has a dedicated area for mindfulness and yoga. With books, games and CDs for all interests, you can help your little one learn to chill out and switch off at an early age. And it’s not just for kids, either.

“We can’t forget about adults and the oldies — we want to keep their minds sharp, too, because we all know we never stop learning and having fun. We have a range of puzzles and games that really engage all generations and bring them together around the table.”

Apart from being fun, play is the best way to learn, and Toys2Learn has got this in the bag. Head in store to pick up the perfect gift — they even offer free gift wrapping — or visit their online store.
