This is a warning to all my single ladies, who are on Tinder…

When you grow up (I like to think of myself as ‘grown-up’) you no longer look at relationships as ‘just another guy to fool around with for a few months’. You start putting dates through the filter of, ‘Do I really want to spend the rest of my life with this guy?’ The answer is usually, NO!

Except for this one guy. My boyfriend, Tim. Sure, we break up every now and then but I always seem to find my way back to him. Because I love him. I think he’s the one. Shhh don’t tell him. During one of our ‘out of love’ moments this year, I decided I was going to be a big girl and move on.

So, I got TINDER!

WOW. Seriously, two words — douche bags! Within the first 10 minutes I got quite a few matches (which made me feel rather confident) Watch out, hot chick coming through! NEKMINUTE…

29 year old… “What you on here for? Just sex? Same”.

28 year old… “Send me a nude, I’m bored at work and would love to see some tits.”

31 year old… “What are you in to, SEXUALLY?”

So within 15 minutes I deleted the app and thought “WTF?” But it appears, I got out of it easy. My girlfriend was much less fortunate than me. She got, from a 27 year old…

“YOU’RE FAT, LET’S F**K”

Um, okay, did the guy honestly think this would get him laid? Is this how guys flirt these days? No dinner? No drink? No opening doors? So many questions! I couldn’t believe it. It’s completely wrong! Tinder made me sad.

If I can give you any advice, if you’re single and reading this, don’t settle for this crap. There are so many great men out there, (not on Tinder) who don’t say,”You’re fat, let’s F$#%%”.

What’s your Tinder experience? Did you meet one of the good ones? Or are they all douche bags?

Loz xx

Wowzers! That is bad! I signed up a week ago (only a week after my 2 and half year relationship ended…shhh!) and have generally had good experiences – mind you I like to think I have a pretty good radar for not swiping right for guys that look dodgy!
I’ve been on one date so far and while I feel the guy talked himself up a bit (and I was slightly let down that his Scottish accent was not as strong as he had implied…) I think I’ll stick with it for a while….we’ll see I guess!
