April, you little overachiever.
Just when we think things might slow down… along comes long weekends, footy fever and those golden autumn days that practically beg us to get out and about.
The festival frenzy might be easing, but there’s still plenty on the calendar — from footy and family days to markets, live music and food-filled weekends. Whether you’re entertaining the kids over the school holidays or lining up a few catch-ups with friends, April’s got you covered.
We’ve rounded up what’s happening across Adelaide this month — so go on, lock a few things in.
We’ve handpicked a few of our standouts for March (check them out in our Pineapple Picks). Then scroll on for a full list of what’s on in Adelaide this month.

Gather Round: Macca’s Footy Festival
Pineapple Picks
AFL Gather Round
Footy fans — it’s that time again! Gather Round takes over Adelaide with every AFL team playing right here in SA. The vibes are unmatched, with games across Adelaide Oval, Norwood Oval and Barossa Park. SkyCity and some key partners are taking over the Festival Plaza with live radio broadcasts, pop-ups, and plenty of food and drink, with every game being broadcast on the big screen from Station Lane. Don’t miss Elder Park either, which transforms into a ‘Festival of Footy’ packed with family-friendly fun. Get amongst it!
Norwood Food and Wine Festival
Long lunches, local drops and live music. This is The Parade at its finest! One big street party celebrating the best of SA’s food and wine scene. Grab your mates, wander, sip, snack and make an arvo (or evening) of it.
Adelaide International Kite Festival
Colourful kites, salty sea air and plenty of space for the kids to run wild. This is wholesome family fun at its best. Head to Semaphore and watch the sky come alive with giant, quirky kites while you soak up those autumn beachside vibes.
Emma Memma’s Jungle Picnic Tour
Calling all little ones (and their grown-ups)! Emma Memma is bringing her joyful, colourful world to Adelaide with a show full of music, movement and magic. Expect singing, dancing and interactive fun. It’s the kind of outing that’ll have the kids buzzing long after it’s over.
