So you’re in charge of planning the work Christmas party. And you’ve left it to the last minute. AGH!

There’s so much pressure to try and come up with something that’s affordable, so your boss still loves you, as well as fun and inventive, so your colleagues still love you. Sure, you could book into a restaurant for a set Christmas menu between 12pm and 2pm on a Tuesday — but if you’re looking to go a little crazy and get the good times going, here are some of our suggestions to mix it up a bit…

Melt at Henley, followed by SeaSalt for drinks

What goes great with pizza? A stunning beach view and margaritas while the sun sets. Now THAT is what we call a brilliant Christmas party.

B’Churrasco

This Brazilian BBQ restaurant on East Terrace is a fave of Lauren’s — think melt-in-your-mouth meat BBQ style cooking that is carved directly onto your plate. The interactive nature is enough to loosen up even the quietest member of your team! https://bchurrasco.com.au/adelaide/

Mrs Q

So good, we just keep going back for more! We’ve thrown our fair share of Christmas parties, magazine launches, and separate family dinners here, so now it’s YOUR turn! The “feed me” menu is a must.  https://www.mrsq.com.au/menu/

BBQ Buoys

This is more of an ‘experience’ for those that are looking for an activity instead of a sit down meal. You hire the boats out (up to a total of 34 people) and float along the Torrens. Book ahead and arrange generous platters, a BBQ to cook your own meat, or you can bring your own nibbles for each one. You can also buy alcohol packages to enjoy on board! https://bbqbuoys.com.au/

Pizzateca

Book a mini bus (because, safety always comes first), get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy the glorious December weather in McLaren Vale while stuffing your face with pizza and Aperol Spritz. Perfecto! https://www.pizza-teca.com/

Maximilians

This is an all-rounder for a mixed crowd. Start the celebrations with a fancy lunch at the beautiful Maximilians restaurant, and then keep the good times going outside to Maxi’s On The Green, where you can sip your bevs and hit some golf balls into the lake. https://maximilians.com.au/

HandleBar

This is especially great if your office is based in the CBD. Walk out of work, say “see ya” to your responsibilities (for an afternoon) and jump on a handlebar with your fave colleagues. It’s unique, fun, and there are plenty of opportunities to kick on once its over. https://handlebaradelaide.com.au/
