When Carolina opened a store just a stone’s throw away from the Adelady office along the bustling strip of Unley Road, local interest was instantly piqued. We spotted the sequins and felt the fabulous fabrics and had to find out more about how this incredible business started and made its way to Adelaide.

The founder
With roots spanning continents, Carolina embodies a fusion of Colombian vibrancy and Australian charm. From her earliest days styling outfits alongside her grandmother to the genesis of Carolina Lifestyle in 2011, her journey radiates a passion for creativity and an unwavering dedication to style, all while balancing the joys of motherhood. As a mum of two beautiful kids, Carolina considers motherhood her most important role. She firmly believes that when her children see her actively pursuing her passions and doing what she loves within Carolina the brand, it sets a powerful example for them to do what makes them happy in life.

We come in different shapes and sizes, and that’s the beauty of human nature. So we make clothes to fit that,” Carolina says. “It took me forever to accept my accent because it makes me who I am. Just like our bodies make us who we are. We should not fight that. It’s every woman’s right to love the clothes they’re wearing.”
The new Unley location
With the unveiling of their latest sanctuary in Unley, Carolina Lifestyle extends its reach, bringing a touch of Colombian flair to South Australia’s style scene. Boasting 19 stores nationwide and a thriving online presence, the brand’s expansion reflects its unwavering commitment to providing quality, comfort and confidence to fashion-forward individuals across the country. Carolina is all about understanding the wants and needs of an area before expanding simply for the sake of expanding and Unley was no exception. “First we built a social media presence in Adelaide and interacted with our followers who live there to get a better feel for what they loved and what they were after. So when we eventually went and set up a store, we received a warm welcome from customers who were waiting for us,” Carolina says.
