The first rule of eating at Miss Viet Kitchen: order everything.

Tucked among the trees in Port Adelaide you’ll find a restaurant serving up modern French-influenced Vietnamese food — and we’re absolutely here for it!

Owner Tim Dutta brings years of restaurant experience to Miss Viet Kitchen, but it’s Head Chef Duyen Nguyen who serves up the magic through his fragrant share-style dishes.

Feast on some of the largest locally sourced prawns you’ve ever seen, covered in a decadent spice mix with a white wine and coconut cream sauce; barbecue double-cooked Wagyu brisket rubbed with their own spice creation; or sweet, sour and tangy South Australian barramundi. Speciality items like the Japanese sashimi grade scallops are shipped in, ready to be served up with a ginger garlic sauce that delivers plenty of zing!

Don’t forget to leave some room for the traditional dish that gave Miss Viet Kitchen its start. “Pho is still at the heart of Miss Viet and our passion for quality means we serve up some of the best, including beef pho with yearling fillet steak,” says Tim. You’ll also find chicken and vegan pho on the menu, as well as a wine list exclusively filled with the best from Rockford Wines.

While you eat, let your eyes gorge on the eye-catching art painted directly onto the walls. “We’d seen Azzurro Batic’s street art around Port Adelaide and thought his work was perfect for Miss Viet. He hand-painted his creations across the walls, using our lanterns as inspiration,” smiles Tim. Grab a cosy seat downstairs, or head upstairs to bask in the sunshine from the large windows and balcony. You can also hold events upstairs for up to 60 guests!

We’ve dished out Port Adelaide’s best-kept secret. Now, it’s up to you to experience it for yourself. Remember to wear your stretchy pants!
