At Klemm Homes, we use passive design such as facing the home in the best orientation, insulation, and ventilation. This means that our homes stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter, which significantly reduces the need for artificial heating and cooling and therefore boosts all round energy efficiency.
High-quality sustainable materials
We’re all about sustainability at Klemm Homes! We carefully choose durable materials that have the lowest environmental impact, and use sustainably sourced timber, recycled materials, and products like Climasure membranes to lower energy consumption. Even the paint we choose matters! We use the Dulux EnvirO2 range — the only major paint brand with Global GreenTag Certification. Love that!
Advanced ventilation systems
To keep the indoor air healthy, and regulate temperatures, we use advanced ventilation systems to give your home a natural airflow. Cooler air is drawn in at the base of the house while warm air rises and escapes out the top, all without impacting the comfort of living spaces.
Energy-efficient windows and doors
By using double-glazed windows and energy-efficient doors, we are able to minimise heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer. Not only does this mean you need to use your air con less, but it also gives you an extra layer of noise protection and added security. Win-win-win!
Smart home automation
Smart home technology isn’t just there to make your home futuristic (though that is a fun side effect!) Using automated systems for lighting, heating, and cooling which adjust based on who’s home and their user preferences, we’re able to ensure energy is used efficiently and waste is minimised.
