Vineyard Road Wines + Barossa Valley Chocolate Company

You can’t go wrong with a Barossa wine, but if you’re after something exceptional, you need to head straight for Vineyard Road. Hand crafted from the finest grapes in the region, their wines will do a jig on your tongue, and a cellar door experience will leave you smiling from ear to ear! Combine it on one site with the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, and you’ve got yourself a wonderland for the whole fam that’s unsurprisingly won a line-up of awards.

Vineyard Road is a passion project from FABAL, who’ve nailed the grape growing biz in some of Australia’s most premium winemaking regions for decades. It made perfect sense to select fruit from some of their favourite vineyards and bottle it under their own brand, Vineyard Road. Under the command of some of the region’s most experienced winemakers, their drops are filled to the brim with some of the greatest fruit, assembled by the greatest minds to give you unforgettable wines.

Rally your crew, or just grab your date and embark on one of their cellar door experiences when the deliciousness steps it up! The specialty here is the wine and chocolate pairing experience — where the wines meet delightful choccies and gelati made on site by the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company.

The team guides you on your tasting adventure so you know why your palate’s doing somersaults as you sample white, ruby, milk and dark chocolates, paired with the full scope of Vineyard Road vinos. You can also take a trip around the globe with the single origin selections, paired with Vineyard Road’s most premium estate- grown reds. And gelati lovers will get giddy with 22 flavours of gelati to choose from, paired perfectly with chocolatey delights! For those without a sweet-tooth, a wine and cheese pairing is divine.

When you enter the rainbowy chocolate factory, you’ll feel like Charlie as you discover over 250 handmade treats and award-winning pralines, all handcrafted using premium, sustainable Belgian and Australian chocolate, and sprinkled with locally-grown ingredients. You can peek inside the factory to see where all the chocolate and gelati-making magic happens — and kiddos are sorted with a treasure hunt that ends in… you guessed it… free chocolate!

When you’re ready to keep living the good life, grab a table at Benni’s Cafe, which serves up locally-sourced food, house-made cakes, desserts, coffee or a tipple from the fully-licensed bar, while sitting on a stunning deck overlooking the water.

If you’re after a game-changing idea for your little one’s birthday party, check out the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company, where the kids make their own freckles and feast on lunch and freshly made gelati. It’s a sure-fire winner!

Go for the vino, the chocolate, the gelati, the combo or all of the above — your tastebuds, your kids and your friends will thank you for it!
