These cuts of meat are worth the drive, so lock in a table and enjoy the journey getting there!
If you’re looking for something to do on a weekend, or on your next day off, 1924 Riverfront Steakhouse is a must. The easiest way to get there is driving. But if you’re coming in by boat after a morning of fun in the sun, all you need to do is step off your skis and walk about 15 metres to the restaurant. Boom!
Damien and Pete O’Riley are Murray Bridge locals. They grew up on the River and local knowledge counts for everything in these parts, especially when you’re in the hospitality game. The boys know what locals want and they know what will entice non-locals to take the scenic drive an hour up the South-Eastern Freeway for lunch, dinner… or a special event like a wedding.
They know good food and the best local farmers who produce it. “We try to support all the regions — the Barossa, Langhorne Creek, Cape Jaffa and more. We love to support local,” says Pete.
This family-friendly dining experience is perfect during the midday sunshine, or right around the afternoon glass-off.
There’s no better way to appreciate what we have in our own backyard than with a glass of SA’s finest and a generous plate filled with premium beef, chicken, local seafood and veggies. “We do a lot of eye fillet and the tomahawk is for special occasions, which is a 1.2-kilo beast! It’s a bit of an achievement to get through one,” says Pete.
They also know how to run some seriously good events. A lot of businesses want to do something different for Christmas shows and client dinners — a private function for up to 200 people at 1924 Riverfront Steakhouse is a highly memorable way to do it! The experienced events team will theme up your event, including ambient lighting and local entertainment. They also offer a more intimate setting for up to 10 people upstairs.
Nothing beats a colourful River sunset accompanied by the clink of a couple of glasses of bubbles before dinner!
Take a drive to the home of some of SA’s finest cuts of meat. Weekends and holidays are extremely popular, so book to avoid disappointment.
