Join me for a journey to one of South Australia’s best-kept secrets…

Grab the fam and your imaginary passport and let’s fly into a world where lavender fields meet the most delicious Italian flavours. As though it’s sprung straight out of a storybook, The Lavender Café is surrounded by vines, adorned with rows of vibrant lavender bushes and the air is filled with the soothing scent of flowers.

This magical place offers a unique blend of relaxation, culinary delights and warm family-friendly vibes. “Family is most important and I’m so lucky to work alongside my three beautiful girls: Sienna, Chanel and Ayla, and my mum, Rosa,” says owner Anthony Lippis.

Family first, but then, lavender

True to its roots, The Lavender Café features an array of lavender products all made on site. From soothing skincare products to essential oils, guests can indulge in the therapeutic qualities of lavender and can even take a piece of this SA gem home with them.

Woodfired pizzas and Italian delights

Close your eyes and you could be alfresco dining in Rome — the food is that good! We highly recommend the rich flavours of their woodfired pizzas, always crafted with care and precision. The menu extends beyond pizzas though, offering a tasty selection of Italian dishes and pasta with every meal celebrating locally sourced ingredients.

And for those with a sweet tooth, nothing beats a latte from Renmark coffee institution, Arrosto Coffee, to go with a homemade cheesecake or apricot slice, am-I-right?

Local wines and spirits

This family-owned cafe takes great pride in sourcing all its exquisite wines from local vineyards. You’ll get to enjoy drops from renowned local producers and Adelady faves like Bassham Wines and 919 Wines. The menu also offers local drops from Woolshed Brewery, 23rd Street and Lock 4 Distillery for those seeking a different kind of spirit or brew.

Whether you’re sipping on local wines, enjoying woodfired pizzas or exploring the lavender-scented nine-hole minigolf and playground (yes, they have that too), this ten- out-of-ten offers an enchanting experience that lingers long after the last bite.
