Something like 70 percent of people don’t know what they’re having for dinner at 3pm.

That’s when they start ringing their significant other. Then, they ring Dario Fontanarosa at Fine Food Cucina

The first time you visit “Fine Foods”, as it’s often referred to, you could be forgiven for thinking they’re fighting in the kitchen. But they’re not. It’s their communal love for cooking and immense pride in how each staff member learnt from their own grandmothers. And it’s what makes Fine Food Cucina’s convenient pick-up meals the best food for your family.

“If we wouldn’t give it to our own kids, we wouldn’t give it to our customers,” says Dario. His staff members bring in their own family recipes and share ideas. He embraces healthy competition to make the end product more authentic and better for the customer.

“I want my customers to have something like what we had growing up,” says Dario. “You want lasagne? Come to Fine Foods and we’ll make one just like your grandma made it.” More accurately, it’s just like how his Nonna made it.

When Nonna came to live with his family, it was his goal to learn everything about Italian cuisine. He skipped school to learn all he could and Nonna covered for him because what they had was special. He turned that something special into a very special business.

Fine Food Cucina has everything you need for dinner tonight, tomorrow or for an entire week. We’re not talking about frozen pies and pasties; this is everything from schnitzels, fresh bread, chicken and beef steaks, cakes, fruit platters and, of course, all the best pasta recipes he learnt from his Nonna.

Fine Food Cucina takes the fuss out of cooking at the end of a long day. All Dario needs is about five hours’ notice for a succulent porchetta or a lasagne that you want to pass off as your own! Fine Food Cucina’s grab ‘n’ go meals are available for your family every day. When you need him, he’ll be there. All you need to do is call and say, “Dario, I’m starving.” And he’ll reply, “No worries, leave it with me!”
