It doesn’t take much to fall head over heels in love with Brockenchack Wines.

Brockenchack is a boutique family winery named after owners Trevor and Marilyn Harch’s four grandchildren — BROnte, MaCKENzie, CHArli and JaCK. And that says it all!

Trev is an honest family man first and a wine enthusiast second. After many years of ‘research’, Trev came to the conclusion that there really is no other wine that tastes as good as a Barossa Shiraz! So, he decided to make some himself.

His first vintage in 2008 was a small 37-dozen Jack Harrison Shiraz — just to see what it tasted like. Much to Trev’s excitement, the exceptional quality of the wine spoke for itself and from there, he hasn’t looked back.

Today, they own 302 acres of land in the magnificent Eden Valley, with 41 acres covered in vines. Depending on the time of year, you may catch the vineyard dressed in burnt orange and flame red leaves, joyful yellow tones, or lush and green in spring. It really doesn’t matter when you visit, the Brockenchack landscape looks like an oil painting.

And their wines are just as exquisite. “We believe in creating wines that are honest, inviting and highlight the best of this unique region we call home. Eden Valley wines are distinctive in their character, displaying wonderful aromatics, elegance, complexity and finesse. Our wines are crafted to share with family and friends throughout life’s many circumstances,” says Trev.

With the grandkids now adults, they’re all involved in the business in some way and I have a sneaking suspicion that Trev will never retire. Why would you when you’re living the dream?

And it’s so much more than just wine now, too…

Imagine a weekend away with your favourites, staying in gorgeous accommodation, wrapped up in total luxury — somewhere surrounded by vines, with utter privacy and sensational views. Welcome to Brockenchack B&Bs! Tucked away in the Eden Valley ranges, the three Brockenchack B&Bs offer something totally unique. “Our B&Bs are a place where tranquillity and country living meet modern luxury,” says Marilyn. And trust me, these three gems are all uniquely exquisite.
