Here’s a great life hack… take the pressure off next time you’re hosting dinner for your friends or family, and cook with Olga’s Fine Foods! Their range of SA products are flavourful and fresh, and make entertaining a breeze.
Here are some of the ways that we use the Olga’s Fine Foods range, when we’re impressing our mates (as seen on hello SA).
Lauren’s cheat pasta and meatballs
Cook some diced onion with olive oil until softened. Cut a pack of Olga’s Fine Foods Beef Chevapchichis into bite-sized pieces, then add to your pan and cook until golden brown. Add your favourite tomato based pasta sauce (we love SA’s own Lucia’s!), Olga’s Fine Foods Beef Boss Seasoning and a handful of fresh basil, and leave to simmer while you cook your pasta.
Toss cooked pasta with the sauce, garnish with some more fresh basil and parmesan and enjoy.
Lauren’s ‘famous’ sausage rolls
Lay out a sheet of puff pastry (we love SA’s own Carême) and spread out a layer of Beerenberg Caramelised Onion. Top with a line of Olga’s Fine Foods Beef Chevapchichis and roll them in the pastry. Cut sausage roll into pieces, then brush with egg wash and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
Cook on 180°C for 45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
Hayley’s burger night hack
On the barbecue, cook up your favourite Olga’s Fine Foods patties. We love the Olga’s Fine Foods Chicken Patties or the Olga’s Fine Foods Salmon Patties with Lemongrass, Lime and Chilli.
On a platter, assemble your favourite burger night toppings! Some ideas are:
- Soft burger buns / brioche buns
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Cheese
- Red onion
- Condiments! (Tomato sauce, mustard, mayonnaise).
Lay everything out for your family or friends to make their own!
Hayley’s yiros platter
On the barbecue or in a big pan, cook up your favourite Olga’s Fine Foods Lamb or Chicken Yiros Meat.
On a platter, assemble your favourite yiros toppings! Some ideas are:
- Flat bread
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Cucumber
- Red onion
- Capsicum
- Feta
- Tzatziki
Lay everything out for your family or friends to make their own yiros — also delicious as a yiros salad bowl!
Asian-inspired sticky meatballs
Cut Olga’s Fine Foods Beef Chevapchichis in thirds and then roll the pieces into balls. Pan fry until browned all over, then pour in a packet of sticky Asian-inspired marinade (soy, honey and garlic is always a winner!). Bring to the simmer until thickened slightly, then serve over rice with coriander and / or green onion garnish.
Chicken subs
Cook up a pack of Olga’s Fine Foods Chicken Patties. Serve on freshly baked rolls or baguettes with mayonnaise, pickles, tomato, lettuce and cheese for a quick and easy chicken sub!
Chicken parmys (made easy!)
Top Olga’s Fine Foods Chicken Schnitzels with your favourite tomato passata, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until cheese is golden and melted, and chicken is cooked through. Serve with a fresh salad.
