By golly we were spoiled with some glorious Autumn weather over the past few months. I kept reminding myself to appreciate every warm little ray of sunshine while it lasted, because I knew what was looming in the shadows — WINTER! And here we are folks, it’s June already!
Those endless cold winter days can be gruelling, but that doesn’t mean you have to go into complete hibernation. If you make the effort to rug up and get out and about, you’ll actually get to see another side of South Australia through these cooler months.
Our epic food and wine scene *hits different* when you’re craving comfort foods and hearty reds. Our wine regions become green and majestically misty and our beaches are unapologetically windy, wild and wonderful. Don’t worry though, if you REALLY want to avoid the outdoors, there are plenty of indoor options as well!
From food, gin, wine and music festivals to the renowned Cirque du Soleil and even a Roller Derby — June is here to entertain you and ease you into Winter ever so kindly!

Sunday mornings, year round:
Bored Walkers — This hosted community walking group meets every Sunday at 8am and makes their way along the Hallett Cove Boardwalk (hence the name)! What a great way to step out, socialise and move your body!
