Kids’ birthdays — they seem to come around so quickly. Every year I tell myself I’m going to be super organised with their parties and avoid having to deal with the last minute scramble of trying to arrange something. Alas — I find myself in that very scramble. Every. Single. Time!

It’s tricky thinking of ways to celebrate that the kids haven’t already done a gazillion times, and that also doesn’t break the bank. The weather has to be considered as well — winter babies and summer babies have rather different options to choose from. Then there’s the decision of either hosting something at home and bringing in a form of entertainment, or going to a venue that does it all for you. So much to consider!
