Beresford is best — here's why!

We need a round of applause for SA’s beloved Beresford Wines!

As always, Beresford Wines are kicking goal after goal — and their latest success is definitely something to celebrate. Drumroll please… they’ve just taken out the title of Best Wine from Australia, Producer of the Year, and a whoooole lot of other highly esteemed International awards.

This all went down at the Frankfurt International Trophy Awards, where more than 4,100 wines and spirits from 48 countries worldwide were judged by 500 tasters from around the world (a mix of both professional and amateur judges — how do we get that gig next year!?) Of the 4,100 drops that went before the judging panel, a total of 1,320 were awarded, with Beresford listed amongst the very best.

Their Beresford Classic Shiraz 2019 grabbed the coveted Best Wine from Australia title for the second year in a row (!!!!!), as well as the Grand Gold accolade. A few of the other varietals also won gold awards, before the icing on the cake: the status-cemeting Producer of the Year award now belongs proudly to Beresford as well.

But that’s not all! Let’s take a quick flight over to the London Wine Competition, where the list of accolades just continues to grow! Beresford’s Limited Release Shiraz 2015 took the comp by storm, taking out Best Wine in show by Country, Best Wine in show by Varietal, and a Grand Gold. The panel of judges at the London Wine Competition are not only experts in wine tasting but also have direct responsibility for wine buying — so you know they REALLY know their vino!

South Australia has oodles and poodles of wineries to visit, and drops to taste. But this right here is a surefire way to make sure Beresford sits at the top of the “must drink” list.
