Hands up if you’ve NEVER heard of a Reuben sandwich…?!
(Don’t worry, my hand is up too). Apparently we’ve not only been living under a rock our whole lives, but have also been missing out — BIG time!!
When one of our fabulous Pineapples wrote to us asking if we could help her find the best Reuben sandwich in Adelaide — it became apparent that half our Adelady team were die hard Reuben sandwich connoisseurs, and the other half had absolutely NO idea what they were. The connoisseurs in our team were gob-smacked and ‘tut-tutted’ us in disapproval. A little Google search later and I could understand the reason behind their enthusiasm.

A Reuben sandwich traditionally consists of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread. Oh my — what a scrumptious combination of flavours and textures!
We wanted to know where the best places in Adelaide are to devour these mouthwatering delicacies — and the Pineapple dream team certainly delivered. I’m now on a mission to eat my way through this entire list. You know — just to see for myself. *wink*
