Whether you’re a wine enthusiast, a foodie or simply seeking a relaxing getaway, Vine Inn Barossa Community Hotel is a must-see.

There’s so much more to this old favourite than meets the eye. Here are five reasons why this Barossa gem has stolen our hearts:

1. Community vibes all-round

Vine Inn Barossa is more than a hotel, bar and event space — it’s community owned! This means that the profits go back into the community to support local sporting clubs, young people and special community projects. “Helping the local high school and sporting clubs in the area is really important to us, and we are very passionate about supporting disadvantaged families and children, too,” says Chairperson of the Board Kathryn Schilling.

Every year, the Vine Inn holds a charity golf day, which receives outstanding support from the whole Barossa region. And all money raised on the day goes straight back into supporting disadvantaged youth in the community.

Run by a board of dedicated locals who meet once a month to forward-plan, the Vine Inn is in the best hands for the WHETHER YOU POP IN foreseeable future.

2. Warmth, whimsy and wine

Whether you pop in for an afternoon bevvy and bowl of wedges outside, or to settle in for the long haul, chances are you’ll be immersed in conversations with friendly locals and staff. Some of the staff have been there for 10, 27 and 37 years — it must be a fantastic place to work!

3. Cosy, no-frills nesting

The complex has different accommodation options, starting with 18 lovely rooms at the Vine Inn Hotel. They’re comfortable and tick off all your basic needs when you’re exploring the region. There’s also a lagoonstyle pool on your doorstep, perfect for water-loving families.

A short walk away, you’ll find the Vine Court Apartments. There are options for one or two bedrooms, each with their own ensuite, lounge area and kitchen. All are on the ground floor and when you stay here, you’ll also have access to the full hotel facilities, including the barbecue and pool.

They also partner up with one of the oldest golf clubs in SA, Barossa Valley Golf Club, which offers special packages to their guests. Locals say that this is the friendliest golf club in the area. It also happens to be one of the prettiest! With 18 holes across six kilometres of gorgeous lawn and surrounded by wildlife, golfers will often share the course with kangaroos aplenty.

4. Party time

The bar seems to be the most popular meeting point at the Vine Inn, with a large range of local beers, cocktails and mocktails on the drinks list. And in classic Barossa fashion, their wines are also on point.

If you’re eager to upgrade your party of two or three to a party of fifty or more, they do plenty of events at the Vine Inn Barossa! Whether it’s a conferenceor wedding, their events team will help you put on an exceptional function. “We even have ceremonies out on the lawn, then everyone moves inside for the reception after,” says General Manager Gabrielle Marschall.

5. All-day dining

Chicken parmies, beef burgers, sticky ribs and wings, the Vine Inn has nailed what locals want and they offer it ALL day in Billy Jack’s. And in the Vine Garden Bistro, there’s often a line-up for the hot and cold smorgasbord any day of the week! They also cater for vegetarians, with some finger-licking vego options on the menu, too. The vegetarian pizza and cauliflower bites are definitely on the Adelady hit list.

Some hotels are fabulous, but this one is all heart. You’ll understand when you step inside the Vine Inn for the first time.
