Any experience that shows off our beautiful city in a new and exciting way has our tick of approval, and that’s why we’re so excited to have discovered a brand new experience — let us tell you a little bit about the Adelaide City Kayak Tour run by Earth Adventure!

No more trekking to the Murray or Yorkes to get out on the water in a kayak — we’ve found a way to cruise around right in the heart of our CBD. Go for a pleasant paddle along the River Torrens in your very own kayak, soaking in all the sights and enjoying the blissful summer weather.

That’s right, Earth Adventure is running 90 minute tours along the Torrens, guided by a qualified instructor to keep you safe and point out all the key locations that you need to see.

Each tour has a very intimate maximum of eight people so you’re not overwhelmed with kayaks flying left, right and centre. You can truly interact with your tour guide as you learn a little more about Adelaide’s history and the significance of the River Torrens and surrounding landscapes.

And with tours available during the day or at sunset on a balmy summer night, you can set whatever mood you want — from a fun new adventure to a romantic cruise along the waterfront. Or, if you’re heading along with a bestie or a special someone, you can opt for the double kayak instead of the single and get in sync with your paddle-mate.

So what exactly should you expect?

+ A 90 minute paddle along Adelaide’s scenic River Torrens in the heart of the city, departing from Pinky Flat.

+ A completely guided tour, with important history and info pointed out along the way.

+ Unique views of the city (that you definitely can’t get from the shore!)

+ A safety briefing and all safety equipment, so you can feel safe and secure even as a kayaking newbie.

We love our city, and want to see it from every single angle — so any chance to embrace a new experience this summer is a YES from us!

To book your next float along the Torrens, head to the Earth Adventure website HERE — this is especially good if you’ve got any interstate visitors here for Christmas, or if you want to gift someone a fab new water-based adventure!
