All ingredients available from your local Romeo’s.

There’s no salad that says summer more than a Caprese Salad. Plump & juicy tomatoes, freshly picked basil, creamy buffalo mozzarella and crunchy ciabatta bread. You can’t get better than that! Use this salad as a starter for when you have friends over and you’re guaranteed to impress. Romeo’s supplies only the highest quality of each of these ingredients!


4 large truss tomatoes

1 riviera ciabatta loaf (fresh from the Romeo’s bakery)

4 buffalo mozzarella balls (from the Romeo’s deli)

Bunch of fresh basil

Balsamic glaze

Olive oil

Sea salt flakes


Slice your truss tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella into 1cm thick rounds.

Arrange them as alternate layers on a large platter, starting from the outside and making your way around to the centre in a spiral shape.

Pick some of the fresh basil leaves and place them over and under a few of the layers.

Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze. Sprinkle with sea salt flakes.

Tear apart the fresh Romeo’s bakery ciabatta bread and serve on the side.
