Slightly salty, slightly sweet — what a treat!
Time 30 minutes
Makes 6–8 waffles
Ingredients:
3 eggs
230ml milk
125g unsalted butter, melted
260g plain flour
32g caster sugar
50g Primo Australian Bacon, diced
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 pieces Primo Australian Bacon, for garnish
Method:
• In a pan over medium heat, fry the diced bacon until golden and crispy. Add maple syrup to the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
• Whisk together the eggs, milk and butter until well combined. Add flour, sugar and bacon pieces and stir until combined.
• Pour batter into your waffle machine and allow to cook (follow machine instructions).
• Serve your warm waffles with extra pieces of cooked bacon, fresh berries, ice cream and more maple syrup
