There’s something really wholesome about a venue that treats your much-loved pet like part of the family. Because they ARE, right?!

If you’re like us and feel that gut-wrenching guilt every time you leave the house (cue those big, sad, puppy-dog eyes staring into your soul)… then we’ve found the perfect solution. 150 solutions, to be exact!

We put the call out to our ever-reliable Adelady community to share their favourite dog-friendly hangouts across SA — and boy, did they deliver!

Better yet, we compiled every single recommendation into one giant list, and organised it by region (North, South, East, West and Hills). So wherever you roam, you can find somewhere that rolls out the red carpet for both you and your hound!

Pineapple Picks:

Here are five Adelady dog-friendly faves we simply had to bark from the rooftops:

Hark — Malvern, Panorama and South Brighton

Made famous (for me, anyway), by their mascot — a GIANT Groodle called Pilot who used to wander around collecting pats like a full-time job, Hark has become a coffee-lovers institution. They roast their own beans (you can grab a bag for home), and have nailed that chilled, dog-loving vibe so well that they now have three locations. We’re such big fans of Hark that we even wrote a whole article about them here! That’s love!

Unley Social — Hyde Park

If you’ve ever walked past Unley Social, you’ll know it’s always buzzing with pups out the front. And when the staff appear with doggy treats — well, it’s no wonder every dog in the neighborhood is lining up for their latte-loving humans to take a seat! You’ll love the coffee… and your dog will love the attention!

Baccus Bar — Henley Beach

You had us at ‘Dog Menu.’ I mean, name a better combo than a seaside stroll with your dog, followed by a coffee or a bite to eat where they aren’t just ‘allowed’ — they’re celebrated?! Bacchus Bar offers puppachinos, pup patties, dehydrated treats, fresh water and most importantly — unlimited pats and cuddles. Say less!

Hello Neighbour — Hyde Park

A certified dog-magnet on King William Road, Hello Neighbour welcomes pups so warmly that some believe the place exists purely for them! The staff and regulars are always up for a chat (and a pat), and there’s always water out for thirsty woofers. My dog knows this spot so well that he tries to drag me in every time we walk past.

Simon Tolley Wines — Woodside

Could a place be any more dog-friendly than this? Simon Tolley Wines hosts a ‘Pinot and Pooch’ day on the third Sunday of every month, and we could NOT love this more! For said pooches, this looks like free treats, loads of pats, fresh air and an utterly wholesome day out with their favourite humans. For said humans — there’s food and wine! You’re welcome.

And here’s 150(ish) more!
