We don’t tend to overcomplicate things, so when we had to decide on a place to have our Chrissy lunch we went for The Peel St — on Peel St of course!

And ohh maaa gawwwd it was delicious! We may have had to roll home from over-eating but it was definitely worth it.

Not only is The Peel St located on the coolest strip in the West, but it’s also home to one of the best eateries in the CBD.

To start, we had a round of Aperol Spritz to cool us down after an exhausting morning of frolicking on the Adelaide Riverbank (we know, we hate us too) and then it was time to order. At this point we decided to “go hard or go home”.

They recommend you to order 1 small plate and 2 large plates to share between 4 people but since our eyes are MUCH bigger than our stomaches, we thought “we can handle it” and ordered an extra large plate #noregrets.

I mean how could you not order the Beetroot Falafel with whipped feta dressing?

Then for seafood lovers, “Yum Squid” is amazing! Let me tell you, it was definitely yum (and HUGE)! This dish also gets an extra big tick of approval, since it contained the fruit of our people — the pineapple.

Round #3 was a Crispy Fried Barramundi with Green Mango Salad and although one of us forgot to read that it was a chilli relish (not a vegetable chutney ha!) it was DELICIOUS!

And finally, our final course was Middle Eastern Lamb Rump and with only 2 Adeladies still standing (and eating) we still somehow managed to fit all the goodness in.

We can not rave enough about how DELICIOUS all the food was, and how generous the serves were! Service was also really fast so if you aren’t sure quite how hungry you are, start small and you can keep ordering until you’re chockablock.
