Holy smokes, Batman — the end of this exceptionally crazy year couldn’t come soon enough! We’re pumped to have some much-needed time off to spend with our loved ones, but school hollies also mean keeping the kids entertained and avoiding the dreaded “I’m bored!” syndrome.

Cue the Wilderness Escape Outdoor Adventures who have the most insanely adventurous options lined up for a fun-filled holiday season for the whole fam!

Catering for ages 5 to 17, these activities are a dynamic, fun way for your children to explore the outdoors … and just between us, underneath all the fun are some pretty cool lessons too… just don’t tell them they’ll be learning at the same time!

Their exciting programs include rock climbing, challenge ropes, kayaking, snorkelling, surfing, mountain bike riding, nature days and much more. Each one is led by a highly-qualified team who draws on almost 30 years of experience providing outdoor learning programs for Australian schools, so you know your kiddos are in good hands! And there are day activities, plus multiple-day camps to really get the most of their adventure.

Here’s just a taste of what’s on offer…

Get beachy!

Sun, sand and surf… let your kiddos make the most of this glorious time of year with any of their beach-related activities. Choose from an Aussie beach day, with plenty of games and activities on the sand, before catching some waves and learning to surf; or Beach Grommets, where the kids soak up boogie boarding, surfing and beach volleyball before drying off and heading for a nearby forest for a shot on the low ropes course.

Let the littlies storm the beach, build rafts, hunt for buried treasure and create catapults to fend off invading pirates… arrrrgh, it sounds like a cracking good time!

Let the experimentation begin

Join an exciting science adventure by getting hands-on building rockets, making volcanoes and testing the laws of science

Go wild!

Let the kids push their own boundaries with SA’s highest artificial rock-climbing wall and longest zip line! They’ll have a ball tackling the high ropes course and topping off the day with the all-important Leap of Faith!

Adventure camps

The kids will love the all-inclusive summer camp adventure on the south coast, which includes two nights and three days of all things aquatic! Think raft building, kayaking, fishing, surfing and more, while they get hands-on and learn the ropes that go with camping.

Or, for three days of memory-making in the sun, let them hit the Copper Coast to experience the crystal-clear waters of Port Hughes and Moonta Bay, with snorkelling, kayaking, and plenty of beach time, plus a train ride on the historic Moonta Mines train.

Check out the full list of programs for details and start planning a holiday season to top all others.

Happy adventuring, kiddos!
