The future is here!
She’s unbelievably attractive, ridiculously smart, environmentally conscious, a real thrill, and super fun to be around. I am, of course, referring to the driving machine that is a completely electric car.

Like something out of the Jetsons, Adelaide BMW’s iX, iX3 and i4 are here, and everyone’s flipping out! But what exactly is an electric car, and why are we all swooning?
To be completely transparent, before we had the opportunity to pull up our driving gloves and test-drive one of Adelaide BMW’s brand new electric models, we had no idea just how cool these driving machines were. It was like an out-of-body experience…

She’s quick and quiet
These beasts are FAST. Not that I would ever dare to go over the speed limit, but the idea of being able to go from zero to one hundred in 3.8 seconds is just insane! The speed is like nothing you’ve ever felt before in a car — it’s more like being on the Eurostar, one of Europe’s fastest speed trains, where you glide rather than drive. And as Björk famously said, “It’s, oh, so quiet”. Electric cars don’t have loud combustion engines, which makes for a very quiet driving experience.

She’s environmentally friendly
This gal is cheaper to run, cheaper to maintain, cheaper to register and a whole lot better for the environment. It’s cool to be green, so plugging in rather than filling up is a good way to care for the environment. The interior features elements sourced from recycled and natural materials — even the wood used for the control panel is harvested from responsibly managed and economically viable forests; and if you’re vegan, you can opt for animal-friendly materials instead of leather.
As a little time-saving gift from the electric car to you, she can be charged at your house overnight while you’re sleeping. Just 10 minutes of fast charging will score you a distance of up to 164 kilometres, and a fully charged iX will get you up to 630 kilometres.
She’s smart and safe
She’s like the dux of the school when it comes to smarts. Her gadgets are so cool that your inner child will be squealing with delight. For instance, she has self-healing technology where the front grill uses a polyurethane coating that can fix scratches in just 24 hours. Mind blown!
She also includes an array of intelligent driver assistance features, like Active Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assistant with Active Side, Rear and Front Collision Prevention, and she even stops passengers from opening doors if there’s a cyclist or car approaching.

She’s gorgeous and curvy
Her interiors are futuristic, and with so much space, you won’t even feel like you’re in a car. You have the option to get your gear selector, BMW controller and seat adjustment elements made in crystal glass. She also features a stunning infotainment display with a 14.9 inch curvaceous touch screen, massage seats with three intensity levels, and a panoramic glass roof, which uses electrochromic technology to flick between transparent and opaque, depending on your vibe.
She’s the whole package… she’s the one. The future has arrived at Adelaide BMW, and we’re so excited!
