Life can be complicated enough without adding a daunting skincare regime into the mix.

There are so many conflicting versions about what your routine should look like and so many questions about what our skin needs. Thankfully, South Australian cousins and skincare aficionados Megan Potter and Mandy Hawtin banded together four years ago to take out all the guesswork for us by creating certified organic products with everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Their motto, ‘Where luxury meets sustainability’, is the foundation from which all their products are created. It means that everything they make is focused on supporting consumers with premium products that use basic and organic ingredients — perfect for a simple daily routine.

The certified organic content of their skincare range means we can trust that every link in the process has been rigorously tested for biodegradable practices, ecological sustainability, minimal processing and involves no animal cruelty, child labour or unethical practices. So basically, they’ve handled all the super important stuff for us so we can just go about our business with clean skin! In fact, the products are so free of nasties that you can actually eat them… probably won’t, though!

We know we’re in safe hands with a Megan Potter skincare routine, but what exactly does that mean, and how is it different from any other? We asked the team what’s really involved in ensuring you have a clean complexion and it’s so much easier than you think!

“Just cleanse and moisturise properly — there’s no need for anything else,” qualified beauty therapist and makeup artist Megan assures us.

Step 1 – Cleanse with the Organic Gentle Cleansing Oil.

Step 2 – Moisturise with an MP Organic Facial Oil or the Illuminating Hydration Serum & Cream.

Optional bonus step – Spritz with a toner or facial mist after cleansing or throughout the day for extra moisture and an antioxidant boost. Voila!

It couldn’t be easier! And if you haven’t tried cleansing with an oil before, you can start by using coconut oil that you have in your pantry. They’ve even got you covered with a show-you-how tutorial on their website.

Also, if all the goodness from certified organic products is as important to you as it is to us, you’ll love the exciting new Megan Potter haircare range, too.
