Where will your kids spend their school holidays?

School holidays aren’t work holidays, and unless you’ve scheduled them at the same time, you’re going to need to find something to keep them occupied. There are quite a few options available, some of which involve paying people to supervise your kids while they watch DVDs… BORING! But last holidays we discovered a new option that quickly became everyone’s favourite.

The Wild Imagination School Holiday Program in the east end parklands offers an amazing array of hands-on, nature-based activities that’s like the type of play we enjoyed as kids before ‘screens’ seemed to be everywhere in our day-to-day lives.

There’s a reason why I still talk about the summer my brother and I built a flying fox in the park down the street – it’s because it was THE MOST FUN EVER! Looking back now I realise we learned a lot about persistence, risk-taking, bravery and team-work, and that’s what’s encouraged – the type of play that involves kids letting their imaginations run wild to explore, build and create in a safe environment.

There’s really no other school holiday program like it, and if the idea of calm, healthy and happy kids sounds good to you, I strongly suggest you book them in now – it’s amazing what a screen-free day can do!
