There’s a new kid in town and she’s got everyone talking. Her name is Hotel Alba.

A transformation has been happening along South Terrace over the past couple of years and the end result has now been revealed. This haven right in the heart of Adelaide was worth the wait!

Hotel Alba sits on the fringe of the parklands and the city, with vastly different yet equally impressive views on both sides of the property. The hotel provides an urban retreat like no other in town. As you enter the foyer and gaze across the restaurant and bar out to the glistening pool, you’ll easily imagine yourself checking into a resort somewhere in the Mediterranean. It’s seriously cool and geared for ultimate relaxation.

Sleep

Boasting 99 guest rooms, Hotel Alba has a choice of Park Side or City Side rooms to suit your needs. All rooms feature a private balcony with views of either the parklands, cityscape or pool. No matter which guest room you choose, you won’t be disappointed when you step inside. The rooms are luxe, with accents of blue and soft grey tones, with light brushed gold accents. Stylish, cosy and perfect for either business or pleasure, each room is well-equipped with a smart TV, complimentary wi-fi and coffee pod machine. If you’re after a little more space to relax, then you must check out their Sanctuary King room! It’s super lush with a daybed overlooking the pool.

Splash

The focal point of the property is the pool, and our prediction is that it’s going to make a big splash on the party scene this summer. With an expansive lawn area, clear blue water, poolside lounges and cool tunes, this is the hottest place to be and be seen in Adelaide! They’ve planned a fun-filled calendar of interactive activities, such as paint and sip events, live music on Friday nights and an everrotating South Australian gin and wine feature. Book us in!

Eat

The new restaurant gives off Mediterranean vibes and we’re here for it! Appropriately named ela, which is a friendly greeting in Greece, the dining room beckons from the moment you enter the foyer of the hotel. With a focus on shared plates, ela serves up Mediterranean-inspired dishes using only the best South Australian produce. Led by Executive Chef Nigel Rich and Head Chef Ashleigh Lindner, the restaurant appeals to both in-house guests and locals, with breakfast and dinner menus, as well as all-day dining for those wanting to relax with a bite to eat poolside. Choose from the à la carte menu, or let the chef decide for you with a selection of their fave seasonal dishes.

Menu highlights include octopus carpaccio, Manchego croquettes, saganaki, burrata served with prosciutto and their specialty 12-hour braised Moroccan lamb shank. Oh, and we haven’t even made it to dessert yet… anyone for baklava? Yes please!

There’s also an impressive private dining room off the main dining area, which seats up to 28 people and provides complete privacy for your special occasion or business event. Imagine a long lunch or a fancy dinner with all of your nearest and dearest. LOVE.

Sip

The bar is the perfect vantage point for a cool drink and a great view of the sunsoaked poolside area. Enjoy genuinelywarm hospitality as you sip on a classic cocktail or try one of their creative signature drinks. You can also choose from a selection of light bites to complement your refreshments. By day or night, this bar is sure to become a local favourite.

Plan your next city staycation at the hottest new hotel in town, or at least pop in for a meal and a cheeky cocktail. It would be rude not to!
