DECOR

The Dulwich Bakery is warm and welcoming. It’s like walking into your mum’s house — it smells delicious, you’re greeted with a big friendly smile and you never want to leave. You feel completely at home and their staff are always attentive, especially when you have small kids. Set in leafy Dulwich, it’s always nice to sit outside under the vine-covered veranda and enjoy a delicious pastry with coffee. However, we all know how impossible this is when you have kids, so if you have your toddlers with you, inside (where the play area is) is where it’s at.

FOOD

The food is as you expect: traditional bakery cuisine, with lots of delicious pies, pasties, spinach rolls and quiches to choose from. They also do a mean sweet pastry. You can’t have a pasty with sauce and not follow it up with a vanilla slice or doughnut!

You don’t need to stress about your kids breaking glasses or dropping sharp cutlery; the food is served on plastic plates with plastic cutlery for toddlers and you can help yourself to filtered water.

KID-FRIENDLY?

A café with a play corner, is a café that makes mums everywhere, smile! Complete with a large blackboard, colouring-in books and a play kitchen with lots of kitchen utensils, this is kid heaven! Unfortunately, there are no toilets within the Bakery. Fear not, there are toilet facilities with a change table, just a small walk behind the building.
