Yay, it’s finally hot! It’s time to take advantage of the beautiful warmer weather and head to the beer garden at the Gilbert Street Hotel for a drink or two.
The newly renovated beer garden is very funky with astro turf as far as the eye can see and some cool art involving some bikes! It’s a very relaxed vibe but somewhere you can put on a cute dress and heels and not feel out of place and somewhere you will feel right at home.
They have an extensive cocktail list which is rare for a pub. The raspberry and cream is my personal favourite. I may have had a flaming shot there once or twice before… They also have a lot of different local, national and international beers on tap and you can check their website to see what’s on tap before you head there because they often change it up.
There are a lot of great pubs on the south of the city but Gilbert Street Hotel is my pick of the bunch for a Saturday afternoon that turns into a Saturday night.
