At 24 years old, Adelaide’s Kayla Itsines is very quickly becoming a household name. She’s helping and inspiring women from all walks of life with her incredible 12 Week Fitness Training Programs. With over 3.5 million followers on Instagram, she’s definitely kicking goals!

Her journey began seven years ago, when she started a personal training course at the Australian Institute of Fitness. After graduating, she began working at a women’s only personal training centre in Adelaide. She soon realised that the methods she was instructed to use weren’t providing the results her clients were hoping for. She decided to do her own research and developed a set of exercises, work-out techniques and nutrition guidelines that achieved the result her female clients were aspiring to.

From there, she took a leap of faith and started her own company, aimed at helping women achieve a bikini body in the most efficient and effective way possible. Her clients saw amazing results in 12 weeks and began to tell their friends and spread the word. From there, her business has skyrocketed and in Pitbull’s words, “She’s now Mr(s) Worldwide.”

She shares her training and nutrition methods on Facebook and Instagram, by uploading real transformations from her clients, delicious healthy eating ideas and some great training tips.

“Having the ability to touch the lives of so many people through my fitness and nutrition guidelines has been the most rewarding part of my practice,” says Kayla.

Helping and inspiring women is what she does everyday. In true Kayla Itstines form, in between jet-setting around the world, writing recipes and developing fitness programmes, she’s helping us by sharing her fave places in Adelaide:

1. FAVE PLACE TO HAVE A DRINK (OR COFFEE)

I don’t drink alcohol and haven’t for many years now! So my favourite place in Adelaide to get coffee would be A Mother’s Milk. I love iced coffee or cold drips when it’s hot in summer.

6. FAVE PLACE FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY

This will depend on the time of year. I LOVE going for drives with Tobi through the Adelaide Hills on a winter’s day. In summer, if I’m not travelling for work, you’ll find me at Aldinga Beach with my family and my dogs on the weekend.
