I’m half Italian so I love, love, love my pasta! The secret ingredient that makes this recipe so delicious is MOO Greek Style Yoghurt (by MOO Premium Foods). We all love creamy pasta, but most of the time they’re filled with lots of extra calories that we don’t need.
This pasta dish has a red sauce, but by adding some delicious MOO Greek yoghurt, it creates some great rich flavours, without the excess calories. I’m not a chef, so here is something that anyone can try and I promise you, it’s DELICIOUS!

LAUREN’S DELICIOUS MOO PASTA

Ingredients ::
1 x red onion
6 x strips short cut bacon
2 x chicken breast
3 x sprigs of basil
1 x red chilli
500g large penne pasta
1 x 500 ml Italian tomato sugo
1 x 250 gm packet of snow peas
4 tablespoons of MOO Greek Yoghurt
Dash of red wine
Clove of garlic
Olive oil
Method ::
Bring water to the boil, add salt and pasta.
Chop and cube whole onion and rashes of bacon.
Cut chicken breast into small pieces.
Slice snow peas into strips.
Fry off onion, bacon and garlic in some olive oil in a hot pan.
Add chicken to the bacon and onion and cook through.
Add Sugo and red wine and leave to simmer for 20 minutes.
While this is bubbling away on a medium heat, check the pasta. Once it’s cooked strain and sit to the side.
Add the snow peas and basil to the sauce and stir through. I put these in right at the end as I like the snow peas to be crunchy.
Add the pasta to the sauce and turn the pan off. Stir through the MOO Greek yoghurt and portion into bowls.
Garnish with a little more yoghurt and fresh basil.
