SA based sister-bosses Kylie and Alicia have dived headfirst into the rattan world to create their booming brand, Koko Collective — a predominantly online business that sells beautifully handcrafted pieces of furniture and homewares.
“While on a family holiday, we met a local lady who crafted beautiful rattan pieces. It was a small family business, which we love to support, and we could tell that a rattan range would be popular in Australia,” says Kylie.
The two sisters design rattan pieces with the Australian lifestyle in mind. Their popular Winnie Buffet is a beautiful example of this; originally large with ample storage, there were requests for a shorter design and also a narrower design to fit Australian homes — so the girls made this happen and now they’re a popular staple!
Their success has seen Koko Collective recently move into a showroom in Edwardstown, making it even easier for eager clients to pick out their dream pieces. Pop into one of their monthly open days where you can select one of the many pieces they have in stock — check their social media for details. Koko Collective is also open on Thursdays and Fridays for customer collections and browsing.

The Adelady team let out a collective “Awww,” when we saw Koko Collective’s dog beds. Give your pooch their own cosy corner, complete with a cushion and removable cover for cleaning. After listening to what their customers wanted, they now offer their rattan pet bed in three sizes.
