Through her personal training and fitness work, she’s helping Adelaidians to live a more healthy and active lifestyle, both mentally and physically.
“Hearing how you’ve influenced someone’s life in such a significant way is really powerful. When your personal goals for clients become reality, it is something so special I can’t actually put words to how awesome it feels”, says Tahlia.
She trained at The Australian Institute of Fitness and had a dream of going out on her own and building her personal brand and business. She’s now the proud owner of Tahlia Pretty Personal Training.
She’s a young Adelady, “kicking goals” and today she’s our Inspirational Adelady.
These are her fave places in Adelaide:
Fave place to work out
I love having a sweat sesh with my clients at Cross Fit City Mode. This place is one of Adelaide’s best kept secrets. It has everything a fitness fanatic can wish for. I run my functional training business there, alongside the cross fit, aerial silk classes and yoga that’s also on offer. After the session, I love to use the recovery centre, which has ice baths, saunas and a spa. They are even adding their own juice and raw treat bar!
Best running track in Adelaide
Hallet Cove boardwalk is such an awesome interval workout. I love running up all the stairs and using the flat terrain as recovery. The bonus is that you get to soak up the awesome view and cleanse your lungs with the gorgeous fresh sea air. If you take your eyes off the ground and look around, you might even see the dolphins or seals!

Fave hiking trail
Stand-up paddle boarding. You’re probably thinking, “What do hiking and SUP have in common?” The answer is LOTS! Stand-up paddle boarding is quickly becoming a new way for hikers to adventure. With the weather warming up, this is one of the best ways to add some variety to your workout, improve your cardio, upper body and core strength. There is something so special about the perspective of gliding on top of the water! The SA SUP Crew have a range of awesome paddle boarding events throughout the year, that will take you off the beaten track.

Fave place for breakfast
When I eat out, it’s so important to know that wherever I’m eating, the owners have sourced quality and fresh produce. That’s why I can’t go past Second Chapter’s number 1 menu item, “Hell’s Eggs!” Their sauces are all homemade, using fresh produce from our very own Adelaide Central Markets, as well as the eggs, vegetables and bread!

Fave juice bar
Goodies and Grains in the Adelaide Central Market. Their green juices and smoothies are to die for!
