It’s more than just a ride, it’s an unforgettable experience.

Based in Langhorne Creek, Carriage of Occasion offers one-of-a-kind experiences and memorable ways for you to enter or exit your special day. Being chauffeured in such a unique vehicle adds an extra layer of charm and opulence… not to mention an enchanting backdrop for photos and Instagram reels.

There’s something magical about the clip-clopping of happy Clydesdale hooves and cuddling up to the person next to you. But it’s not just for the lovers. “We have guests hopping on wine tours, enjoying romantic beach experiences in summer, soaking up the magic of the Christmas lights, and I love seeing kids’ faces light up with our Teddy Bear Hunt Adventure,” says owner Shaye.

THE CARRIAGES

There’s a carriage for every occasion and a bunch of very happy horses to match!

The Victoria Carriage can carry up to four passengers, making it perfect for weddings; the London Trolley is their most versatile wagon, often used for funerals, parades and photo shoots; the Mini Wagonette is a delightful alternative to a traditional wedding carriage; the Brougham is an elegant, enclosed carriage and can be pulled by one or two horses; and Canoe Landeau is a striking white, open carriage that ensures a grand entrance.

Then, there’s everyone’s favourite — the Wine Tour Wagon, designed for groups of up to eight people and complete with sunroof and a large boot to carry all the grapey goodies you grab along the way!

THE TOURS

Keep your eyes peeled for their monthly specials, such as touring the Christmas lights in December, or ghost hunting in May for history month. Then, there are a few tours you just can’t say “neigh” to!

The Hands-On Horse and Carriage Experience gives horse lovers the chance to go behind the scenes; brushing and harnessing the horses, before enjoying a carriage ride through the beautiful countryside.

For something super-cute, why not book in for the Horse-Drawn Bear Hunt Tour with the kiddos during the school holidays? Travel through Strathalbyn in a horse-drawn carriage, searching for bears and marking them off your checklist.

And then for one of the most popular tours, the Horse-Drawn Wine Tour! This experience allows you to explore Langhorne Creek’s wine region over a few hours, bouncing between Bleasdale Wines, Kimbolton Wines and Bremerton Wines. You’ll taste your way through their delicious drops and stay for 45 minutes before you jump back on board to enjoy the open-aired carriage.

So, the next time you’re planning a special celebration, consider levelling up the charm with Carriage of Occasion. After all, isn’t it everyone’s dream to be in a real life fairytale?
