Kick off your uggies (unless you have super stylish ones that you can dance in) and pop on a warm jacket — it’s time to make the most of your weekends in the city! Man, it feels SO GOOD to be out and about again, having a lol with our friends and sipping on bevvies in our city laneways and bars! I swear we will never take these little joys for granted again.
And if the only thing holding you back from venturing on a night out in the town is the cold… well let me fill you in on a little secret!
This winter, the City Of Adelaide, with support from the Government of South Australia, have done us all a massive favour so when you come out, you’ll be be warmly welcomed with toasty fire-pits, live street music by local artists and some fiery entertainment with roving fire performers.
So you can do what we did, and warm your hands by the fire, sip a cocktail, then enjoy a cocktail and a bite to eat at the surrounding bars and be entertained through the night!
Nothing warms you up like a Fire Twirler, hey!
So when is this happening?
Every Friday and Saturday night throughout winter, from 5pm until late, there are fire-pits all over our city and perfectly located near all your fave bars and restaurants.
- Leigh Street
- Gilbert Place
- Hutt Street
- East End: Vardon Ave, Ebenezer Place, Franks Lane & Rundle Street
- O’Connell Street
- Melbourne Street
And the buzz will continue into the first weekend of September, so jump on the City Of Adelaide website to find out all about it!
