Over 170 years ago, Arthur and Martha Hardy built Mount Lofty House and at the same time, they planted giant redwoods (otherwise known as Sequoias) all over the property — which then turned into what we now know as the Botanic Gardens. The new owners of Adelaide’s grandest house have developed 14 luxury lodges and as an ode to the Hardy’s, they named them the Sequoia Lodges.

This stunning accommodation is the sole luxury hotel worldwide located at tree-line, which means the views overlooking the magnificent Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens are next-level. These lodges will take your breath away…

As you step inside your own private lodge,  the suite comes alive with automatic blinds rising to reveal the gorgeous Hills’ views, the fire pops on and you are in instant relax mode. No stone has been un-turned and every detail has been thought of. Even down to the shower, with multiple jets to wash every part of your holiday-loving bodies.

The mattresses are all custom-made and if you plan on never leaving your room, well, you don’t have to. With COVID restrictions, like all businesses the team at Sequoia have adapted and started delivering three-hat meals from Hardy’s Verandah restaurant straight to your door. And post-COVID, they’re continuing this service because I mean, why wouldn’t you want the opportunity to stay in your room and NEVER LEAVE. EVER. The service is impeccable and you’ll feel so incredibly special as a guest of this hotel.

Sequoia Lodges will no doubt attract international visitors as in our opinion, they definitely earn a place in the list of world’s best luxury hotels. And we’re SO lucky that they’re in prime position,  just 15 minutes up the freeway and walking distance from the gorgeous Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens.

Impress someone you love and book a night, or two, or three… (This is a message to my husband, Jimmy!)
