With their third store recently swinging open its doors in the Adelaide Hills, children’s boutique Daisy & Hen is the pinnacle of South Australian success.

With super-stylish kids’ clothing, high-quality toys and newborn gifts flying off the shelves at their Tanunda and Glenelg stores, it was a no-brainer to expand into other corners of SA.

In an exciting start to 2020, Gina and her team made the bold move to open Daisy & Hen in Stirling, and create a brand new head office and warehouse space on Jetty Road, Glenelg. It’s hard to believe this small South Australian business has only been around for a hot minute.

“Four years ago, I was searching for flexibility and found myself with one choice — to start my own business,” Gina says.

Living in Tanunda, Gina picked the missing puzzle piece — in a region filled with adult goodies, the Barossa needed something for the littlies. With the help of Instagram, Gina was able to discover a range of niche kids’ brands, supporting Australian labels balanced with some of the most sought after international brands for kids.

“We designed Daisy & Hen’s first store to be a beautiful and relaxed place to visit, and it took off. After three months, we realised we were onto something and launched our online store, followed by the Glenelg store two years later. It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come since then — we’ve become a destination for more than 60 of the best brands in the industry.”

Daisy & Hen now employs 15 South Aussies, supports hundreds of small businesses around Australia, and best of all, keeps little people around Adelaide learning and looking their best.

The five brands we just can’t go past

Some of these brands you might already know and love, and some have grown with Daisy & Hen from the beginning. Whether they’re a boutique Australian brand or a much loved international brand, we can’t go past these.

• Wilson + Frenchy (D+H are the leading stockist, carrying the entire range).
• Huxbaby
• Rock Your Baby
• Tiger Tribe
• Pretty Brave

Stirling’s new kid on the block

The leafy main street of Stirling now boasts its very own Daisy & Hen store. Maintaining the signature vibe of the existing boutiques, the community element lives on, with the local team there to help from day dot.

No need to fly down the freeway for that perfect last-minute gift — Hills dwellers can now browse freely in the colourful new shop.
