Hey mums and dads!

I’ve got something completely rad, utterly cool and totally “lit” that your kids will LOVE!

22 Too.

Finally, I found a sport that makes my seven-year-old SHINE with joy (and sweat). He’s never been into soccer or cricket or footy — he’d much rather climb up the score board or practise his lashays across the monkey bars. Like a lot of his mates, he fell in love with the TV show Ninja Warrior and now of course, wants to be one.

This week, I took him to his first 22 Too Junior Parkour class and boy oh boy was he in his element! Firstly, seeing your child smile from ear to ear with happiness is the best. But when they get in the car and say, “Mum, that was the best day of my life”, you know (even though they’re probably exaggerating), that you’re onto a winner!

22 Too is the brainchild of two absolute legends Glenda Green and Janet Hayes. Their aim was to create a supportive and nurturing environment where kids are encouraged to explore and develop their (ninja) skills at their own pace. Each program is based around key stages of a child’s development for kids aged one to twelve.

Circus Skills, AcroKinder Gym, Junior Parkour, Gymnastics, Fencing, Martial Arts, Orienteering, Quidditch (like Harry Potter) Tai Chi, Dance Play and Animal Yoga are just some of the rad programs they offer.

And guess what? They also do birthday parties. OMG, this is every kid’s dream! For an hour and a half your child will have the time of his/her life, doing themed activities suitable for their age. And the best part? You can bring in your own food and they clean up all the mess afterwards.

But wait, there’s more… they are now running School Holiday Programs for kids aged 3–12. The holiday classes (half day or full day) are the perfect chance for your kids to have the time of their lives and also make new friends at the same time.

And it’s not just about the kids either — Glenda and Janet are all about creating that warm, welcoming community vibe between parents, grandparents, carers and instructors.

Both Adeladies come from a wealth of experience! Glenda and Janet have spent that last 22 years building and delivering successful activity programs for children and adults — so rest assured, they know what they’re doing.  All the lovely instructors are also fully accredited and trust me, movement is their jam. I mean, they ended our class with a casual backflip of two.

So, if you want the same feeling I had when I took my sweaty, happy, gleeful guy home after his first Parkour class, book a session at 22too for your bub.

22 Too comes to St Andrews School in Walkerville and for our hill dwellers, St Michael’s Lutheran Primary School in Hahndorf. I wholeheartedly give their programs five Adelady pineapples. Austin is already back flipping his way into his next class.
