Woweee… our fave time of the year has arrived and we’re pumped about getting our festival pants on for Adelaide Fringe 2019! One spot you’re bound to find us throughout the month is vibrant outdoor hub, Gluttony.

Set on the corner of East Terrace and Rundle Street, it’s the perfect posie to absorb the electric atmosphere, with plenty of lip-smacking food and drink options. But with a long list of extraordinary entertainment on offer, HOW do you start to pick shows?

Never fear, we’ve got it sussed for you and served up just a few below to whet your whistle.


This circus for grown ups scored Best Circus & Physical Theatre at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Weeklies and it’s no surprise! Dive straight in to this hot pot of sensational acrobatics, operatic cabaret and tongue-in-cheek burlesque for a guaranteed cracker of a night.


Get ready to rock out with this live circus rock tribute to the original rebel, David Bowie. Overflowing with live music, glittering glam rock, phenomenal acrobatics, breathtaking aerials and spectacular heart stopping sideshow, Rebel brings to life an incredible body of work that spanned over 50 years, and an aesthetic that broke ground and inspired generations.

Hans: Like A German | TICKETS

Fresh from conquering stages and screens around the globe, international superstar Hans is back in his adopted hometown with an accordion-pumping, foot-stomping, glittering blitzkrieg of cabaret backed by a huge seven piece band! Winner of PICK OF THE FRINGE at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe weekly awards and SOLD OUT at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018, Hans will have you slapping your thighs so hard you’ll think it’s Oktoberfest.  

Matt Tarrant: More Unsolved | TICKETS

The highest selling solo act of 2018 returns with even MORE magic than ever before! Featuring brand new world class Magic and Mentalism, as well as some old favourites — it’s set to be the biggest show yet. Will sell out early, so get your tickets fast!

Bernie Dieter’s Little Death Club | TICKETS

The smash hit show of Edinburgh Fringe comes to the spiegeltent. The darkest, funniest and most debauched kabarett club this side of Berlin! A Weimar-punk jazz band soundtracks a hazy night of dangerously funny kabarett, breathtaking circus and fire-breathing sideshow at its most inappropriate, provocative and hilarious best.

Thrones! The Musical Parody | TICKETS

Total Edinburgh Fringe sell-out 2015/16/17/18 and worldwide smash returns to Adelaide for a second triumphant year, bigger and bloodier than ever! Updated with new deaths & sexcapades from the seventh series. From the twisted minds of Baby Wants Candy, comes this immensely popular comedy musical.

Shake It | TICKETS

After a sold out 2018, Shake It returns featuring foul mouthed songstress Minnie Andrews (from ‘Papillon’). Minnie hosts one of the most outrageous events at Fringe, with special guest acts from across the festival of burlesque, circus and cabaret. This thrilling, collective circus experience sees eight friends, all top-class artists and musicians, come together to let their crazy ideas run loose. Inspired by the sound of the underground, film stunts, and traditional circus tricks, ‘FINALE’ pays the city of Berlin, its brazen tribute — a breathless, wild, and exuberant display. 

Fortified (starring Amity Dry) | TICKETS

This is a war story. But there are no guns and ammo, just angry words and hurt pride. It’s a story about blowing up your life and starting again. About divorce, love, loss and discovering a strength you never knew you had. This is Amity at her most raw and heartfelt and if you loved her smash hit ’39 Forever’ it’s not to be missed.

Kathy Lett’s Big Night Out | TICKETS

Grab your girlfriends for this psychological striptease from the hilarious author of ‘Puberty Blues’. Kathy bares all in these tales of love, lust, men, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, mastitis, sexist bosses, teenage-daughter-wrangling, ageing, toy boys, making the Queen laugh, hiding Julian Assange in her attic, tongue kissing Prince William and Close Encounters of the George Clooney kind!
