I have a secret. It’s my new happy place. I was a bit unsure if I should share it with you, but my husband said it would be selfish of me not to. So, here goes…

I’ve discovered yet another one of Adelaide’s hidden gems. Stuff going overseas or paying huge airfares to fly to a remote topical destination — we have paradise right here on the south Esplanade, Glenelg!

My “little secret” is Seawall Apartments. I stayed with my family in “3 Olive Court”: a delicious 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, fully self-contained apartment with million-dollar sea views out of every window. Looking at these views, you could be anywhere in the world!

As someone who is forever searching for the perfect mix of family/romantic getaway destinations – this was it! With a spa the size of my bedroom, overlooking the beach and a king-sized bed, you could escape here with a lover, or if you’re like me and have two small humans nipping at your heels, it’s also the perfect family apartment.

I think there’s so much more charm in something old, which has been renovated. As opposed to something so new it’s sterile. Olive Court is exactly that – an old building that’s been renovated, but still maintains its rustic charm, with solid walls, high ceilings and Scandinavian style furniture.

One of the reasons I loved it so much was it felt like we were out of the heart of bustling Glenelg, but still close enough to walk there to grab our morning coffee(s), or do a bit of retail therapy along Jetty Road.

To get to the beach, we threw on our bathers and within 20 seconds, we were frolicking in the crystal water directly out front.

And the best news: there are 22 apartments! All with a different number of bedrooms and quirk about them. You can check them out here.

So, let’s just keep this little secret between us. Wait, who am I kidding? When I love something, I SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS! Seawall Apartments, I’ve fallen for you. You are my new happy place. Thanks for the memories!

We will be back,

Hayley xx
