What began as a backyard hobby, Prohibition Liquor Co. has become every man’s dream.

Mates, Wes and Adam, started making Gin just for ‘sips and giggles’ until they realised that their creations needed to be shared with the masses.

And so, they took over what was once a Crossfit Gym and converted it into an uber cool, fully-functioning distillery! Making handmade, small-batch gins, they now produce three of the best! Shiraz Barrel Gin, Bathtub Cut Gin and their most popular, Prohibition Gin.

While we were visiting, and sipping from a Gin flight, Wes ran out and said, “We’ve just won GOLD at the Australian Distillery Association Awards!” BOOM!

With another award under their belt, the two friends should be celebrating their baby, BIG TIME!

Prohibition Liquor Co. has become a tourism hotspot, where people from all over the world, come and sample different Australian Gins and delicious SA wines and beers. And to make the experience even sweeter, they also offer outrageously good platters.

Not to mention their famous Jamon and Gorgonzola toasties, fried halloumi, and mouth-watering burgers!

Set on Gilbert Street, you can dine inside the distillery, or alfresco. It’s also the perfect party location so if you’re running an event, put these guys top of mind.

Their strongest gin is 60%, but we give Prohibition Liquor Co. a healthy 100%,  for greatness!
